I started playing sport at the age of four. I loved being outside and staying active. Fast forward many years and I still love being active! I began my fitness journey at Planet Fitness and spent many hours in the gym ‘doing cardio’ and lifting weights. I also found many different workout videos to add to the mix. It was great in the beginning but than it became repetitive. I was putting in the work but seeing no results! In 2011 I caught the repeat of the 2010 Crossfit Games on ESPN. I saw it and automatically wanted to know where I could do these crazy things. I found a local gym (box) and hit up my first class. That was all she wrote! I was totally hooked after that. I became a Level One Trainer in 2014 and started teaching classes shortly afterwards. I enjoy having my butt kicked every day by a new and different workout. I also enjoy helping other athlete’s through those same crazy butt kicking WODs. It is a great feeling to help others improve on a movement and watch them grow. The family-like community we have at Yards is like no other. We support each other through workouts, strength training, and even lean on each other for help outside of the box. This is something that I love being apart of and it’s not something you can get anywhere else. I’m thankful that I have CrossFit in my life and I’m thankful to help some great athletes along the way.
